DRIFT WOOD GALLERY AND NATURAL WOOD SCULPTURE.
The following pages show a selection of naturally formed driftwood sculpture from the forests of China , burma ,and thailand. This river bourne drift wood starts its its life in the huge forests of Yunnan and Burma. Most of it is a bi product of the timber business. The felled timber is taken to out of the forset to be floated downstream to the market places in Burma and Thailand . The drift wood in these pages is swept away by the river during the monsoon floods , and starts its own journey downstream. This journey can take years , decades,as the unusual shapes get lodged between rocks ,to be pummeled by the force of the river until such time a the river rises again and allows the drift wood sculpture to continue downstream.
The result of this natural weathering creates exquisit unique wood sculptures from just a few inches tall to pieces well over 10ft .
The sculptues in this driftwood gallery are as well suited to life in your garden as they are to your conservatory . They are fashioned from hardwoods, and as such will last decades outdoors.
