A very unusual pair of black lacquered cabinets. Late 19th or early 20thC. SOLD The lacquer finish to the pairs of doors is particularly striking,depicting a village and orchards under mountains ,and with water in the forground.The overall impression is similar to that of a folk art wood cut . The interior of the cabinets have been lined out with a patterned wallpaper. The frame is more traditional in composition, with a styalised dragon and Shou symbol running all the way around . Below the doors Pommegranite are painted as a symbol of male fertility.112 x 50 x 176 cm each
