An unusual Tai Yai red lacquer and gilt buddha image from eastern Burmese / Thai boarder.
30 cm tall .
Buddha images with exagerated ear lobes like this are often associated with the Shan , and Lanna cultures.
Primative images such as this one have become scarce in the market place almost before they have had the chance to establish themselves as a recognised field of interest.
