A late 19th/ early 20thC painted Mongolian trunk with a well painted front panel .
The red/ brown field is decorated with the usual vase and flower design, and scholars scrolls .
More unusual is the Elm display case behind the treasure vase , with its vase and other scholars implements , brushes and fan and books. SOLD
The animal at the top of the display case in intriguing , and may be a wolf or dog ,but i have not seen the like of it before.
The trunk now mounted on later feet .
