A Ming style Kang table of Simianping design where the legs sit right at the edge of the table top .
Made of Poplar ,or similar wood .
Originally covered all over in a glossy black lacquer, that was laid down on a thick clay size.
Small areas of the black lacquer remain .
The short legs end in a delicate hoof foot.
Very much in the classical Ming style and likley of period .
